Meet Our Team

Jennifer is the Executive Director here at Barclay House of Aiken. She is a South Carolina native and is from Aiken, SC. Jennifer holds an associate degree in Health Science and is a Licensed Practical Nurse from Aiken Technical College. Before making the move to senior living, Jennifer worked within the healthcare industry for 20 years in various roles, such as a nurse, nurse manager, and trainer.

Her favorite part of working with seniors is learning about their lives and their passions. She says there is so much that we can learn about life through them. Her favorite thing about working at Barclay House is being able to serve the community on multiple levels. When Jennifer is not working, she enjoys spending time at the lake and beach with her family. She also has a son who is attending Clemson University.

Kim is the Director of Sales here at Barclay House of Aiken. She is originally from North Carolina but has lived in Aiken, SC for the past 25 years. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from Appalachian State University. Kim originally started her career in senior living as a Nutritionist and that is when she discovered her true passion for working with seniors. Before joining our team, Kim worked as a Director of Resident Relations at another local senior living community for 12 years. 

Her favorite part about working with seniors is listening to their wonderful stories from their life experiences. She says that not a day goes by that one of them doesn’t make her smile and laugh! Her favorite thing about working at Barclay House is being able to build relationships with residents and their families. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 incredible adult children, traveling, and shopping. Kim also has a special place in her heart for the mountains of North Carolina and her two sweet cats. Additionally, she is very interested in research focused on slowing down and preventing the progression of dementia, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle through wholesome meals and exercise.

Veronica is the Director of Wellness here at Barclay House of Aiken. She is a South Carolina native from Graniteville, SC. Veronica is a Licensed Practical Nurse from Aiken Technical College and has been working in senior living since 2012. Initially, she began as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) while still in nursing school. After graduating, she transitioned to another community in North Augusta, SC, where she gained further experience. However, feeling the need for change, she pursued a role at a doctor's office in Aiken. Yet, she soon realized that her true passion lay in senior care. She returned to senior living at Barclay House, initially serving as a floor nurse, and has since progressed to her current position as Director of Wellness. Her favorite part of working with seniors is listening to their stories and hearing all about their life experiences. Her favorite part of working at Barclay House is the atmosphere; she says that everyone feels like family. She also mentioned that she is truly passionate about ensuring our residents receive the best care possible and would do anything for them. When Veronica is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family or baking cupcakes.
